Turkey reveals volume of oil transshipment through local ports in 2M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. The ports of Turkey transshipped 4 million tons of crude oil from January through February 2022, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

Ships under the Turkish flag transported 457,908 tons of crude oil through local ports and ships under the flags of other countries – 3.5 million tons during this period.

At the same time, 7.4 million tons of crude oil were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey.

Total of 12.6 million tons of oil products were transshipped through the ports of Turkey from January through February 2022.

Ships under the Turkish flag transported 620,615 tons of oil products through local ports and ships under the flags of other countries – 12 million tons during this period.

At the same time, 7.5 million tons of oil products were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey.

Turkish ports transshipped 66.2 million tons of oil products in 2021.

Total of 48.1 million tons of oil products were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey last year.

The ports of Turkey handled 31.1 million tons of cargo in February 2022. Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through local ports amounted to 2.2 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 28.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 6.2 million tons of transit cargo in February 2022.

Turkish ports handled 64.4 million tons of cargo from January through February 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 4.6 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 59.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 13.9 million tons of transit cargo from January through February 2022.

The ports of Turkey generally handled 386.3 million tons of cargo in 2021.
