On 6th of June YARAT Contemporary Art Centre held a large-scale event called the Night at the Museum. As was previously mentioned, this event has been held globally for almost 40 years with the aim of attracting more people to take part in cultural activities.

Night at the Museum was publicized a month in advance of the event, across a range of social media platforms and in print media, it was therefore no surprise to see a huge crowd of people gathering in front of the Art Centre from 11 a.m. who wished to take part in the event.

Night at the Museum was accompanied by yoga, cooking, dancing master classes, art-therapy sessions, history lectures on subjects such as the mysteries of Baku and so on, with the events lasting till late.

The executive director of YARAT Contemporary Art Space, Farid Abdullayev, stated: "By organizing these events we wanted to attract more visitors to the Art Centre, where modern art collections and exhibitions are displayed. It appears that we managed to do that. After the master classes people stayed to take tours with our guides and were very interested in the exhibits displayed. The main goal of the event has been achieved, and we will have more events like this in the future."

Those who missed the event can visit YARAT Contemporary Art Centre during regular opening hours: Tuesday - Friday: 11:00 - 20:00, Saturday: 11:00 - 23:00, Sunday: 12:00 - 20:00
