Azerbaijan and Georgia are strategic partners, the relations between the two countries are beyond the scope of economic cooperation, the Vice-Speaker of Georgian Parliament Zurab Abashidze said at the reception, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries.
He congratulated Azerbaijan and Georgia on this momentous day, noting the high level of cooperation in various fields.
"We cooperate in strategic projects such as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, which is a strategic project for the region," Abashidze said.
He said Azerbaijan and Georgia enjoy historically strong relations, and they cooperate not only in the sphere of economy and energy, but also in cultural field.
The Ambassador of Georgia Teymuraz Sharashenidze said the strategic partnership between the two countries is successful and has historical roots.
