Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed to render the necessary assistance, including financial assistance, to the families of the injured and killed sailors in the Sea of Okhotsk, spokesman for the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov said, RIA Novosti reported April 2.

"The president is being informed about the course of the search and rescue operation," Peskov told the media. "In general, the president stressed the coordinated work of the ministries and departments headed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, involved in search and rescue operations."

Peskov said that the president gave instructions to the ministers and governors.

"The president gave the necessary instructions to the minister of emergency situations, governors of Magadan and Sakhalin regions to create all necessary conditions for the treatment and care of all injured, to be taken to the hospitals," he added.

Azerbaijanis who are the citizens of Russia were among the crew members, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations told Trend April 2.

Forty-six-year-old Imadeddin Sadihov (born in Nakhchivan), 51-year-old Mailaga Talibov, 40-year-old Yashar Aliyev are among survivors. According to the preliminary data, 51-year-old Elman Aliyev also survived.

There is no information about 51-year-old Mahammad Safarov, 28-year-old Muradali Maharramov and 56-year-old Fazil Shakarov.

"Far East" fishing trawler sank overnight in the sea of Okhotsk off the eastern Russian peninsula of Kamchatka. The 132-person crew was made up of 78 Russians and 54 citizens of other countries. At least 54 people have died and 15 are missing. The rescued people are suffering hypothermia. The captain and chief mate died.
