The Aztelekom Production Association plans to deploy a 3G network in the CDMA standard, it told Trend on Monday.

The goal is to provide subscribers with a more expanded list of services, one of which will be data transmission services.

The first CDMA-network with 3G standard is expected to be deployed on the Absheron Peninsula.

3G standard is the next stage of CDMA networks development, as the CDMA 2001X network used by operators today is considered obsolete.

The next stage in CDMA wireless development will improve voice services and data-sending services.

Network infrastructure evolution is inevitable, as it is dictated by IT equipment manufacturers whose products are becoming more universal every year. This, in turn, positively impacts quality improvement by operators.

The network used by operators today is first generation, the company told Trend. The second development stage is to use EV-DO data transmission technology used in CDMA standard networks.
