BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. The US wants to more broadly kickstart its trade and investment partnership with Azerbaijan into a new chapter beginning in this renewables space., US Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets and Director General of the US and Foreign Commercial Service Arun Venkataraman, who is on a visit to Baku, said during a press conference, Trend reports.
"What we see and what we are pleased by is the rebound in our trade flows after the COVID-19 pandemic. We are back to levels that we were before the pandemic. But frankly, we are a long way from where we should be. We have mutual interest, we have areas where we should partner even greater together. Those areas will be the foundation for what I hope will be a growing and much larger trade relationship. I think we will see that not just in this renewables space, but also in areas like agriculture, agrobusiness, information and communications technologies, logistics and transport," he said.
