Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Agayeva / A meeting of the Azerbaijani and Turkmenistan working groups on the definition of the middle line of the Caspian Sea started in Ashkhabad on 19 November, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.
"Negotiations are held regularly. The working group of both countries is periodically assembled in Ashkhabad or Baku. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are interested in settlement of the issue," Khalaf Khalafov, the deputy Foreign Minister, said.
The deputy Minister expressed his hope of reaching an agreement in regulation of the issue during the current meeting.
The Foreign Minister, Khoshgaldin Babayev, leads the delegation of Turkmenistan.
