New Structural Changes to   Take Place in Azerbaijani Interior Affairs System

Azerbaijan, Baku, 16 January / Тrend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / New structural changes will take place in the interior affairs bodies, stated Askar Alakbarov, the Azerbaijani Deputy Interior Minister, to the journalists on 16 January.

According to Alakbarov, necessary measures were taken in order to bring the police activities closer to the European standards. A press service, the interior investigation department and the interior security department were established at the Ministry.

"New services are planned to be established for teaching IT to the police officers. New organizations will be established, after coordinated with the relevant state bodies," he said.

Alakbarov said the system has few female police officers, as the law-enforcement activities are difficult. The Deputy Interior Minister considers it important to follow the international values in the police activities. There are no violence facts in the interior affairs bodies and the police officers adhering to violence against civilians are investigated, he said.
