Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 25 / Trend N. Kirtskhalia /

Georgian ex-Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli intends to restore relations with Russia and achieve Georgia's unification.

"I intend to establish our relations on a new basis. There is no place for Mikheil Saakashvili in this scenario," he said at the Tbilisi airport today upon returning from Moscow.

The Movement for a Fair Georgia leader does not consider his last visit to Moscow successful. He said that despite meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, he managed to agree with the Russian side only to restore air communication between the two countries.

"The reason was the explosion of the memorial in Kutaisi Dec. 19," Nogaideli said.

Nogaideli said he met with leaders of United Russia during his visit. Movement for a Fair Georgia intends to conclude a cooperation agreement with the party.

Nogaideli said he will visit Moscow often in the future.
