Georgia National Security Council Secretary Eka Tkeshelashvili believes authoritative U.S. senators' visit to Georgia testifies for Georgia's importance for U.S. policy.
Tkeshelashvili told journalists that Georgia is of interest both for the U.S. and for the international community.
Tkeshelashvili regarded the visit of senators headed by former U.S. presidential candidate John McCain to Georgia after a tour of Afghanistan as another important factor. "This shows the importance of Georgia's participation in the mission in Afghanistan," she said.
