Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Feb.15 / Trend , H.Hasanov /

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ordered to send free humanitarian aid such as children's clothing and diesel fuel worth over half a million dollars to Tajikistan.

The decree states that the measures are taken in connection with severe frosts this winter and abnormally severe weather conditions.

Responsibility for executing the order was given to the Textile Industry Ministry in Turkmenbashi.

The Turkmen Dovlet khabarlari state news agency notes that the "current act of goodwill is another obvious demonstration of Turkmenistan's commitment to good neighborly traditions and mutual aid, and serves to strengthen the traditionally friendly and fraternal relations between the two neighboring states."

Berdimuhammadov plans to pay an official visit to Dushanbe on Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon's invitation.
