Azerbaijan approved the judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic, the Supreme Court of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic and the appellate courts.

The issue of appointing judges to the Supreme Court, Baku, Shirvan, Sheki, Sumgait and Ganja appellate courts and the Supreme Court of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic was discussed at an extraordinary meeting of the Azerbaijani parliament.

Detailed information about the bill was given to the parliamentarians by chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy and State Building Ali Huseynov.

"I can say that all of the judges are highly disciplined," Huseynov said.

"I propose the Parliament to discuss the issue concerning raising the salaries of judges," MP Aydin Mirzazade said.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev sent recommendations to the above-mentioned courts in connection with the nominations for judges.

According to the recommendation, judge of Shirvan Court of Appeals Imran Hajigaibov, judges of the Baku Court of Appeal Saadat Bektashi, Mehpara Akhmedova, chairman of the Sabail District Court Gulzar Rzayeva, judge of Shirvan appellate court Farhad Kerimov from June 28, Judge of Supreme Court of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic Hafiz Nasibov from September 2 were nominated for the Judges of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani Parliament considered the appointment of candidates for judges of the Military Court of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic Vugar Guliyev and Habil Mammadov for judges of the Supreme Court of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic.

On the recommendation of the President, from August 28 judge of Binagadi district court Natiq Abbasov, Judge of the Heinous Crime Court Amir Bayramov, Nasimi district court judges Kamaladdin Badalov, Sevda Huseynova, Khuraman Maharramova, Khatai district court judges Togrul Aliyev, Azad Imanov, Sabunchi District Judge court Ilgar Huseynov, judge of Yasamal District Court Raghib Gurbanov, Khagani Mammadov, Nizami district court judge Vidadi Mammadov, Jahangir Yusifov, Narimanov district court judge Elshan Veliyev, Judge of Surakhani District Court Nureddin Mustafayev are appointed judges in the Baku appeal court.

From August 28, judge of Khachmaz district court Maharram Allahverdiyev, judge of Nizami district court of Ganja Zeki Babayev, judge of Guba district court Etibar Jamalov, Yardimli district court judge Amil Dosiev, Sabirabad district court judge Ismail Ahmedov, judge of Masalli district court Tofig Heydarov, judge of Salyan Court Nusrat Mirzoyev and Judge of Jalilabad District Court Alasgar Novruzov are appointed judges in Shirvan Court of Appeal.

From August 28, judge of Samukh district court Elshad Bayramov, Ganja's Kapaz district court judge Jeyhun Ahmadov, judge of Gazakh district court Badal Aliyev, Ganja's Nizami district court judge Shamil Rzaguliyev and Tovuz District Court Judge Logman Suleymanov are appointed judges of the Court of Appeal in Ganja.

From August 28, judge of Shirvan Court of Appeals Ahmad Ahmadov, chairman of the Military Court of Sumgait Vidadi Jafarov are appointed judges in Sumgayit Court of Appeal.

From August 28 chairman of the Lankaran District Court Mubariz Akbarov, Yevlakh district court judge Vidadi Gasimov, Sheki district court judge Elbrus Mammadov, Gumbet Salimov are appointed judges in Sheki Appeal Court.

A group of judges of the Supreme Court, Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Sheki appellate courts and the Supreme Court of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic, whose terms expired, are appointed to new positions from the end of their term of office.

The activity of judges in higher courts and other courts, whose term expired was reviewed and evaluated a few days at the meeting of the Judicial Legal Council.
