Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev has today laid the foundation stone for the Gusar-1 hydro electric power station, the AzerTaj state news agency reported.
President of Azerenerji Etibar Pirverdiyev informed the President of major components of the project.
The hydro electric power station will have three pipes, turbine house, 3 hydro turbines, a hydro generator and a 10 KW- substation.
The facility will be operational in 2011. The construction work will be carried out by Azenco.
The hydro electric power station will produce 7 million kWh of electricity per year.
