Austrian President Heinz Fischer will pay a visit to Azerbaijan.
"The work is underway on the preparation of President Fischer's Azerbaijan visit scheduled for 2011," Austrian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Sylvia Meyer Kaibic told Trend on Tuesday.
Austria is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan and opened its embassy in Baku this year to this end, Kaibic added.
Kaibic said the diplomatic mission's priority in its activities is to support the economic relations between the two countries.
"One of the important projects is the Nabucco project, on which the talks are underway. The Austrian companies show great interest in Azerbaijan and are already working in areas such as tourism, health and others," Kaibic said.
