President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Director of Physical Biology Center of the California Institute of Technology, Nobel Laureate in chemistry Ahmed Zewail.
Zewail expressed pleasure with his visit to Azerbaijan.
The professor underlined the importance of the Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
Mr. Zewail praised a speech of Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev in the Forum, in particular the Head of State`s ideas on science and education.
The professor said he had eye-witnessed big development in Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked Mr. Zewail for attending the Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
The Head of State stressed the importance of such events in terms of international cooperation and mutual understanding.
The President underscored it is possible to achieve the goal of developing Azerbaijan as a modern country due to the progress in science and education.
