The Elmar Husseynov foundation delayed the picket, scheduled for 28 June in front of the Ministry of the National security (MNS), one of the co-founders, Alovsat Aliyev told Trend.
The foundation planned to hold picket in the protest against the non-disclosure of the Monitor magazine editor-in-chief’s assassination so far, the non-availability of the information on the progress, results of the investigation. The NS Minister has been reported on the action and he promised to receive the founders.
The picket planned was delayed due to the promise of the NS Minister, Eldar Mahmudov to meet with the founders. The Minister said, that during the next week he would receive them and give the information on the investigation. В"We will wait for a week, if the Minister meet with the founders we will ask to reply the questions which cause concern and worry. If the meeting does not take place, the Elmar Husseynov Foundation will take a decision to hold picket in front of the MNS building anew. Therefore, the current picket has been delayed for an uncertain period. In case the meeting with the Minister takes place, and all issues, worrying us removed, such actions would not be possibly held”, Aliyev said.
