The world leading investors take extremely high interest in the Azerbaijani economy, Trend reports quoting Heydar Babayev, the Minister for Economic Development, assaying on Thursday.
“It is absolutely wrong to divide the economy into oil and non-oil sectors, as it is dealt with a single mechanism,” the Minister said. During the last visit to Washington I witnessed deep will of the US companies to cooperate with Azerbaijan. They are interests in package of agriculture products, as well as production of iodine in the country.
Concerning the continuation of �Hami yerli mal alsin, kheyir vetene galsin!’ (Let everyone to buy domestic product, let profits to remain to Motherland!) campaign Babayev ruled out necessity in it. The campaign was set at the initiative of a private company and its term expired. “The campaign was the repetition of a similar initiative set up in the United States early in 1960s. I am certainly supporter of purchase of local production, while still here exist poor quality goods,” the minister underlined.
He noted that the campaign actually infringes the rights of companies competing the local market.
As to the check-ups in Barmek company Babayev said that it would be wrong to make premature statements until the completion. “Statements urging that same lesson expects Barmek as Bayva,” the Minister said noting that complex examination in the company will continue.
