MP Mehriban Aliyeva, the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, also the UN Good Will Ambassador, held some meetings within the visit to the Astara region on Friday, Trend reports.
Aliyeva got familiar with construction of secondary schools within the program New schools for renewed Azerbaijan. The President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was informed about the construction of 3 schools in the Astara region at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, including, 2 in the remote villages of the region. All schools were provided with necessary equipment and schools belongings.
Aliyeva got familiar with a new school building, classrooms, showed interest in lessons, attended gymnasium and met with people living around.
Aliyeva also visited Lankaran. She got familiar with the course of the implementation of the Foundations program, envisaging issue of new schools belonging to schools.
