The Venice Commission and the Directorate General of Political Affairs of the Council of Europe will organise in Baku on 28 April a Round table on the Results of the 6 November
2005 elections and perspectives of co-operation in the field of electoral legislation and practice, Trend reports.
Attending the event will be representatives of Milli Majlis, the Presidential administration, the Central Electoral Commission of Azerbaijan and other institutions.
The main objective of this event is to have an exchange of views on possible ways to improve the electoral practice for the 13 May by-elections and on future co-operation between the Council of Europe and Azerbaijan on improving the electoral legislation.
