Visit of Iranian president to Tabirz aims to assuage confrontation Azeri politician

The visit of Iranian president Mahmud Ahmadnejat to Tabirz aims to assuage the confrontation, politician Mubariz Gurbanli, the deputy executive secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), told Trend , expressing his attitude towards the visit of Iranian president to South Azerbaijan on July 11.

Gurbanli noted that the visit of the Iranian president to the north of the country is linked with the policy of the country. Besides, he stressed that in Tabriz, the positive statement of the Iranian president about Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis will assist in assuaging the events happening in Iran in context of national confrontation. The visit of Iranian president to Tabriz is a step for keeping the events under control and preventing the disturbance in Iran on national-ethical base, Gurbanli added.

Jahandar Bayoglu, the chairman of the Committee for protection of national movement of South Azerbaijan, thinks that the visit of Iranian president to Tabriz will have a positive impact on promotion of the national movement in South Azerbaijan. The people have a faith that if they fight for their rights, the government will have to meet with people and they will achieve the results intended in the fight, he told.
