Azerbaijan , Baku / Trend , corr. S. Aghayeva/ Azerbaijan President, Ilham Aliyev signed an order on development of cinematography in Azerbaijan . Due to it, the Azerbaijan Culture and Tourism Ministry was commissioned to prepare proposals on providing Cinema Studio "AzerbaijanFilm" with necessary material and technical base and overhaul. The Presidential Order also commissions to prepare proposals on restoration of the network of cinemas in Azerbaijan , including reconstruction and overhaul activities in the operating cinemas. The Ministry was also commissioned to prepare proposals to create modern conditions to the activity of "Nizami" Cinema, construction of a new building for the "AzerbaijanFilm Fund", prohibition of film strips reflecting Azerbaijani cinema of the 20 century
The proposals are to be submitted to the cabinet of Ministers of the Country by March 31, 2007.
In his order, the Head of the Azerbaijani State also commissioned to prepare proposals for production of films about the history and cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people. Within the next three months, the Ministry has been commissioned to prepare proposals concerning State Programme "Azerbaijani Cinema 2008-2018", including the joint cooperation with the World's leading cinema production companies in producing new films. The Culture and Tourism Ministry of the Country also should prepare regulations on dubbing foreign cinema, improving the legal base of Azerbaijan in the field of cinematograph. The Cabinet of Ministers in the persons of the Culture and Tourism and Education Ministries has also been commissioned to elaborate a programme on preparing and training high-skilled staff.
