Azerbaijani National Independent Party’s Detained Six Members Now Set Free

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / Six members of the Azerbaijani National Independent Party (ANIP) who were detained due to their attempt to rally in front of the Cabinet of Ministers were released near Ulduz metro station, Ali Orujev, ANIP's Press Secretary, said.

The party's activists wanted to hold a rally in front of the Cabinet of Ministers on 7 September, however, policemen thwarted the unsanctioned rally.

Five members of the organization were delivered to the Sabayil District Police Station 9.

Policemen arrested six other members who were going to rally in front of the Cabinet of Ministers. Later those six people were released.

The others five persons, including Orujev, are still being kept in the Police Station 9.
