State committee head: Azerbaijani woman takes active part in political processes

Azerbaijani women actively participate in social, political, economic and cultural processes in the country, which regained independence, the head of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children of Azerbaijan Hijran Huseynova told the official website of ruling New Azerbaijan Party.

Azerbaijani women actively participate in social, political, economic and cultural processes in the country, which regained independence, the head of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children of Azerbaijan Hijran Huseynova told the official website of ruling New Azerbaijan Party.

"Our women make indispensable contribution to strengthening the independence of Azerbaijan, protecting territorial integrity, establishing a legal democratic state, ensuring economic growth," said Huseynov.

According to head of the committee, along with her important role in the family, she should act as an active driving force of social processes.

"The representatives of weak sex with dignity carry on their fragile shoulders such a heavy responsibility and mission as transferring the national and moral values, family traditions from one to another generation," said Huseynova.

"Today we need women who are capable of acting from the international tribune, make a worthy contribution to the solution of global issues," she said.  

"We are proud that all of these qualities have organically merged with unique women leader of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, who today plays an important role in the life of our country and is an excellent example for each of us. She is also an influential public figure, and a talented scientist and a caring mother, and a decent wife," said the head of the committee.
