Moscow and Azerbaijani Diaspora to Resolve Labour Migration Issues

Russia, Moscow / Trend corr.R.Agayev / An agreement was signed on the interaction of the State Body of the Inter-regional Informative-Business Centre and the Moscow Regional Department in Moscow on 5 September. The document was signed by Georgi Timofeev , the Director General of the Inter-regional Informative-Business Centre, and Ilgar Hajiev , the chairman of the Department.

The agreement envisages both sides pay more attention to international cooperation regarding migration issues, as well as the intention to develop labour migration and settle the problem on strengthening inter-ethnic peace and agreements in Moscow.

The parties jointly agreed to improve the information exchange; render assistance for participation at conferences, fairs, workshops and other events, as well as to hold informative consultative events to increase legal awareness among migrants from Azerbaijan wishing to work in Moscow, to hold monitorings in banks, and draw investors to construct apartment buildings to be allocated to migrants from Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijanis is the constituent part of society, Timofeev said. A lot of Azerbaijanis reside in Moscow. I would like to note how beneficial they are to our country. We should take it into consideration. We are ready to provide all interested persons with necessary informative materials. Timofeev added. An upcoming employment fair to find Russian staff for Moscow, will be held in Moscow on 19 September, and the city conference will be held on 26 September. V. Vinogradov , the Deputy Mayor of Moscow, will open the ceremony, and A. Alexandrov , the chairman of the Interregional Communication and National Policy Committee of Moscow, will deliver a report at the Conference. The new migration program for 2008 and 2010 will be represented at the conference. Timofeev appreciated the joint measures taken by the Federal National Cultural Autonomy of Russian Azerbaijanis of Azerros . Hajiyev highly appreciated the attention the Russian Federation is paying the Azerbaijani Diaspora.
