Famous Turkish design company modernizing airports of Uzbekistan

Turkish Kiklop Design&Engineering company participates in several large airport modernization projects in Uzbekistan, Managing Director of Turkish Kiklop Design&Engineering company Talat Emel told Trend in an interview.

“One of the largest projects of the company in Uzbekistan is modernization of the main passenger terminal of Samarkand International Airport. Kiklop is responsible for design and installation supervision, and Uzbek Enter Engineering - for construction,” the managing director said.

According to Uzbek media, the total cost of the project is $62 million.

“Moreover, Kiklop is involved in the construction of the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATC) at Tashkent Vostochny Airport as the responsible body for design and supervision. The builder will be determined by the Ministry of Transport via tender,” said Emel.

According to him, Kiklop will participate in the construction of an aviation catering building at Vostochny Airport, the design of which is under development.

Kiklop also is part of a number of other projects in Uzbekistan, such as Timur Military Academy and Tashkent GEO University (both designed in cooperation with Uzbek Prime Tower Group).

The company was responsible body for architectural/interior and design services of the Istanbul Grand Airport project.
