Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The State Agency on agricultural credits at the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry declared winners of the Competition grants announced in April within the framework of the second project Development and crediting of agriculture.
The project is implemented jointly with the World Bank.
The following projects were approved: 'Sale expansion of the Yardimli mountain honey through upgrade of package and stick a label', 'Demonstration of contents, package and sorting of subtropical fruits," 'Improvement of wine in refrigerators and increase of wine prices,' and 'Purchase, keeping and use of perennial forage plants in production of forage'.
The winner projects are 'Efficient production, storage and package of mushrooms', 'Vegetables preserving', 'Application and demonstration of business experience in imitation animal fertilization' and 'Application and demonstration of sorting and package of vegetables in Shamkir'.
The sum of grants is amount to $22,000. The term of implementation of each one year. Five percent of the sum of the grant will be given to winners after finishing the project.
Totally 16 out of 36 projects submitted to the competition were chosen. Nine projects, which were submitted to the World Bank, were approved during the latest competition.
The next competition is planning to announce at the end of 2007 and beginning of 2008. Totally three similar competitions are planning to hold in 2008.
