Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend U.Ismaylova / The inflation in Azerbaijan in 2008 will make up 12-13%, said the Head of Economic Reforms Fund, MP Azer Amiraslanov.
"If the prices are not raised for the energy resources and communal services in 2008, the level of inflation in the Country will not be very high," Amiraslanov said.
In January 2007 the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan made a decision increasing the prices for energy resources and communal services.
According to the MP, the Government can not freeze the prices in the Country and should take into consideration new realities of macroeconomic indicators.
According to the data by the State Statistics Committee, the inflation in January to October made up more than 16%.
