Azerbaijan, Baku, 24 April / corr. Trend U. Ismayilova/ The Center for Economic Studies NGO will hand proposals to the government to introduce a 'single window' system in the registration of targeted social aid, Vusal Gasmli, the deputy chairman of Board of Directors of the organization said.

"The people must officially register 21 documents in order to receive targeted social aid which creates problems and consumes a lot of time," Gasimli said.

The targeted social aid has been given to people in need in Azerbaijan since 16 April 2006. The aid is provided for a 6-month period. The documents are then required to be updated once that period expires. The volume of targeted social aid totals AZN 45 since 2008.

According to Gasimli, the organization has conducted a poll amongst 800 people receiving targeted social aid in Mingachevir within the project Assessment of Efficiency of Factors Affecting Mechanism of Targeted Social Aid.

Commenting on problems in the registration of targeted social aid, Babak Huseynov, the representative of Ministry of Labour and Social Security stated "at present, those in need are required to register 14 but not 21 documents to receive targeted social aid and are required to register only 3 documents when that period expires,".
