Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 Dec / Trend corr. U.Ismayilova/ Akkord, the Azerbaijani construction company, is finishing building of the rest part of huge flyover in intersection of avenues Heydar Aliyev, Babak and Shah Ismayil Khatayi.
The first part of the flyover was put into exploitation in Jul, the company said on 4 Dec.
Akkord Group of Companies is constructing the flyover. The company has tested the built properties. Specialists of IMIDIS Russian Institute have conducted this work. The bridge has been tested for carrying capacity, durability and traffic comfort. Specialists have positively assessed quality of a new flyover, Akkord said earlier.
Construction of this flyover began in Aug 2006. Its area covers 2000 long meters. The flyover consists of four transport bridges and two tunnels. A railway bridge, passing over this territory, has been reconstructed within the framework of the project.
For the first time, road bed has been heated during realization of the project. Heating of a car bridge is turned on while drop of temperature to -4 C° and after rise of temperature to 0 C°, heating system is turned off.
This work is being realized within the framework of the project on unload of transport infrastructure in Baku at the Azerbaijani President's decree on Improvement of transport system in Baku inn 2006 and 2007.
