Over 500 kg of expired products withdrawn in Azerbaijan

The State Consumer market Control Department under the Azerbaijani Economic Development ministry withdrew from sale more than 530 kg of expired products during its next monitoring on the consumer market, the ministry said on Aug.24.

The State Consumer market Control Department under the Azerbaijani Economic Development ministry withdrew from sale more than 530 kg of expired products during its next monitoring on the consumer market, the ministry said on Aug.24.

The ministry held monitoring in the Narimanov region of Baku, in the cities Ganja, Khudat and Sumgayit.

The ministry withdrew expired products, including sausages, confectionery products, oil, milk and dairy products, drinks, beer, packaged fish and baby foods from the shops.

The ministry drew up acts on administrative violations towards 13 physicals.

Generally after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and additions to Administrative Violations Code dated May 17, 45 legal entities were fined in the amount of 173,000 manat and 337 physicals to 506,000 manat.

The monitoring continues.

On Aug.24, the official exchange rate is 0.8039 manat to $1.
