Head of the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents Ramiz Hasanov participated in the assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) held in Geneva (Switzerland) from September 22 to October 1, the committee said.
Head of the committee met with WIPO director general Francis Harry within the assembly.
Extension of cooperation spheres, establishment of a training center, completion of operations on automation of information search systems, as well as possible arrival of director general to Azerbaijan were discussed during the meeting.
The conference on 'Role of intellectual property while solving global processes in the world' was also held within the assembly.
The meetings of heads of patent organizations of Turkish-speaking countries were held. Prospects of further cooperation between these countries were considered.
