Iran inflation rate falls to 9.1%

The Central Bank of Iran stated that the inflation rate in the calendar month of Tir (ended July 22) dropped to 9.1 percent.

The figure shows a 0.3 percent decrease in comparison to its preceding month's figure of 9.4 percent, the Mehr News Agency reported.

According to the Central Bank Governor Mahmoud Bahmani, the inflation rate is projected to be reduced to 4-5 percent.

Iran's inflation rate in the previous calendar year stood at 10.8 percent.
