Georgian Regional Development and Infrastructure Minister Ramaz Nikolaishvili discussed the implementation of infrastructure projects financed by the bank with Asian Development Bank (ADB) Vice President Xiaoyu Zhao.

Nikolaishvili said a project to restore the Roki section of the high-speed highway, which is financed by the bank, and spending $500 million to improve water supply systems in Georgia, were discussed during the meeting.

According to Nikolaishvili, the conversation also touched upon a bypass road in Adjara and highways in Mestia.
"Future plans and projects to be started later this year were discussed as well," he said.

Zhao said Georgia is one of the bank's best partners. Cooperation will continue in the future, he said.

"Projects in your country are implemented to a high quality in the
shortest possible time frame. We are proud to cooperate with the
Georgian government and to contribute to the country's infrastructural
and economic development," Zhao said.
