Ernst & Young sponsored BBG monthly meeting on June 2, 2011 at Hyatt International Center. The meeting has been attended by over 100 executives from various companies as well as UK Trade Mission.

Turgay Teymurov, Ernst & Young Assurance Partner, provided an overview of EY activities in the market and made a presentation on recent research program "Competing for Growth".

About "Competing for growth"

Competing for growth is our latest research program. With its first version launched in October 2010 we sought to understand what companies are doing to return to profitable growth. With our Competing for growth refresh - How business is growing beyond boundaries - we are now trying to identify how high performing companies have implemented successful growth strategies and respective tactics.

Towards the end of 2010 we interviewed executives from 1,400 companies from around the world and across all sectors. In January and February 2011 we complemented this research with two additional research studies, one aiming at 400 C-suite and marketing managers to better understand how they entered new markets and innovated, and one aimed at additional 400 C-suite and HR directors to understand how they addressed talent management.

We have identified the 33% of "high performers" in terms of both profit and revenue growth and tracked their responses to see if a pattern of successful management action can be found and detail further explained.
