An upgraded checkpoint standard on registering cars in Lokbatan (the Garadag district of Baku) will be implemented in the near future, Head of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev told Trend on Monday.
"This checkpoint will begin operating in the near future, as only technical issues remain to be resolved," he added.
The process of registering vehicles imported to Azerbaijan is expected to be simplified with the implementation of the new checkpoint system.
A similar checkpoint, which operated in Sulu-Tepe, will be moved to Lokbatan.
