The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan will create a technical committee on construction early next year, a source in the State Committee told Trend.
"The State Committee and Ministry of Emergency Situations are completing work on the establishment of a committee which will start work early next year," said the State Committee.
Currently the State Committee has five technical committees: on standardization of food, environment, information and communication technologies, quality management and standardization of tourism services and accommodation.
In addition, together with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, State Committee is working to establish a technical committee on oil and gas.
"The Committee is in favor of creating structures in different industries and is willing to consider proposals of individuals, companies, NGOs, government agencies and others to create new and enhance existing standards," said the Committee.
