Azerbaijani companies are eager to purchase gypsum deposits in Karachaevo-Cherkessia, and cooperate in the field of woodworking industry, Economic Development Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev stated at a meeting with the head of Karachaevo-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov yesterday, the Website of the Government of Karachaevo-Cherkessia reported.
The Azerbaijani team arrived in Karachaevo-Cherkessia on Tuesday at the sidelines of previous accords and the signed agreement of cooperation.
Temrezov told members of the team that the Karachaevo-Cherkessia authorities are open for cooperation with investors that solid legal provisions have been established in the region to help investors.
"Particularly, a number of laws envisioning property tax exemption for seven years and the reduction of income tax to 13.5 percent, up to three years for the newly established enterprises. Investors implementing priority investment projects will be given preferential use of natural resources," Temrezov said.
The head of Karachaevo-Cherkessia reminded that a number of Karachaevo-Cherkessia companies already cooperate with Azerbaijan. Cement is the leading goods of export from Karachaevo-Cherkessia to Azerbaijan.
