Last year goods from 106 countries were transported through Iran.
China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkmenistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan were the top sources for materials transported through Iran, the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA) reports.
Iran plans to develop its transportation relations with other countries, Shahriar Affandizadeh, head of Iran's Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization, said. The deputy transportation minister pointed to 64 countries that were the destination points for transportation through Iran last year (Iran's solar year ended on March 19).
