Cash monetary supply increases by almost 19 per cent in Azerbaijan

As of January-October 2013, the money supply (M2) which is cash in circulation outside banks and remainder in the domestic currency on accounts of non-financial organisations, financial, excluding credit organisations and individuals, increased by 19.5 per cent compared to the same period of 2012, the Azerbaijani Central Bank's statistics report said.

As of the first nine months of 2013, the M2 rate was 15.017.8 billion manat compared to 12.563.6 billion manat in the same period of 2012, according to the report.

The amount of cash monetary supply (M0) increased by 15.55 per cent and amounted to 9.724.4 billion manat compared to 8.415.5 million manat as of the same period of 2012.

As of January-October 2013, Broad Money Supply (M3) totalled 17.867.4 billion manat or 14.5 per cent more compared to the same period of 2012 (15.606.6 billion manat).

Transaction money (M1) increased by 17.24 per cent per year and amounted to 11.836.6 billion manat.
