Some 25,200 new enterprises were created in Uzbekistan in January-May 2018, which is 3,400 more compared to January-May 2018, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan reported.
The number of enterprises and organizations that have ceased their activities decreased by 10.1 percent compared to January-May 2017 and amounted to 6,900.
The total number of operating enterprises and organizations has increased by 17,800 (6.2 percent) since beginning of 2018 and amounted to 303,300.
The share of enterprises and organizations in sphere of trade accounted for 22.0 percent out of the total number, in sphere of industry - 17.2 percent, construction - 8.7 percent, agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 7.5 percent, food - 6.0 percent, transportation and storage - 4.1 percent, information and communication - 2.2 percent, health and social services - 2.1 percent, other spheres of economic activity - 30.2 percent.
