Sales of products, services of Kazakh large & medium-sized companies up by 18%

The volume of products sold by large and medium-sized companies and their services in Kazakhstan amounted to 8.3 trillion tenge in the third quarter of 2018, 17.5 percent up compared to the same period of 2017, Trend reports via Finprom.kz.

In terms of sectors, the leaders are the mining industry and quarrying (2.5 trillion tenge, 30.8 percent of the total sales), manufacturing industry (1,7 trillion tenge, 20.1 percent), and transportation and warehousing (1.2 trillion tenge, 14.6 percent).

The largest growth in sales was recorded in trade: 62.1 percent year-on-year, from 341.9 billion to 554.3 billion tenge.

At the same time, the largest volume of products sold by large and medium-sized companies in the third quarter of 2018 was recorded in the Atyrau region (1.9 trillion tenge, 55.9 percent up year-on-year), Astana (1.6 trillion tenge, 14.3 percent up), and Almaty (1.4 trillion tenge, 16.2 percent down).

The gross profit received by the companies in the third quarter reached 4.7 trillion tenge, 22.8 percent up year-on-year.
