Customs administrations of the Turkic Council member states will sign the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Customs Enforcement, Trend reports citing the press service of the Turkic Council.

The document will be signed at the 7th Meeting of the Heads of Customs Administrations of the Turkic Council on March 11 in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana.

Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Marat Sultangaziyev, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee under the Finance Ministry of Kazakhstan, Ismayil Huseynov, First Deputy Chairman of State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, Sultan Mamasadykov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Kyrgyzstan, and Gonca Isık Yılmaz Batur, Deputy Trade Minister of Turkey, as well as the high level government officials and the representatives from the embassies of the member states will take part in the meeting.

During the meeting, the heads of delegations will review the work done in the field of customs cooperation since the last meeting in May 2017.

The parties will exchange views on the agenda items including the Silk Road Initiative and Caravanserai Project, public private partnership, the schedule of training programs for 2019 to be organized by member states, as well as the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Trade Caravan Demonstration Tour.
