Malaysian company to distribute Uzbek food products to Singapore, Indonesia’s hotels

Uzbekistan presented its halal products (food products allowed for Muslims) at the 16th International Exhibition of Halal Products MIHAS-2019 (The Malaysia International Halal Showcase - 2019) in Kuala Lumpur, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

Ministry of International Trade and Industry and the Malaysian Foreign Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) were the organizers of the largest exhibition in halal products’ field in Southeast Asia.

MIHAS exhibition has been held in the capital of Malaysia since 2004. This year, more than 800 well-known companies presented food, beverages, halal cosmetics, Islamic clothing, textiles and medicines, as well as services in the areas of tourism, finance, logistics and e-commerce. The exhibition was visited by more than 23,000 people from 80 countries of the world.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia also took part in this exhibition with the National Stand, where the food industry’s products of such companies as Elite Food Group LLC and For Tea LLC were presented to the participants.

Businessmen from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and China appreciated the taste and quality of halal food from Uzbekistan.

The attention of the world's leading airlines, hotels and fast food restaurants was attracted by the innovative packaging of disposable ketchup, mayonnaise, honey and other sauces.

The network of world famous coffee houses has expressed interest in purchasing various types of cookies from Uzbekistan for subsequent sale in the countries of Southeast Asia.

Following the results of MIHAS-2019, preliminary agreements were reached on the supply of Elite Food Group products to the Malaysian airline Air Asia and Batavia Indo Global PT for distribution in hotels and fast food restaurants in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

Moreover, the sale of oatmeal and chocolate cookies to the Old Town chain of coffee shops for sale on the Malaysian market, as well as their sales in Turkmenistan.
