By Matanat Nasibova - Trend:
Azerbaijan’s Ganja Instrumentation Factory plans to increase production of LED lamps, a source in the company told Trend.
The new product of the factory is economically viable for use in comparison with mercury and fluorescent lamps, since it saves up to 50 percent of electricity, according to the source.
“On the other hand, they have a fairly wide range of application, they can be used both indoors and outdoors,” the source noted. “So far, the plant’s capabilities allow slightly increasing production volumes, to about 5-7 percent, but in the future we plan to significantly increase the output of this type of product and increase export opportunities. Since the beginning of this year, the plant produced products worth more than 4 million manats, and products worth over 1.2 million manats of them were exported.”
The plant produces water meters, gas pressure regulators, gas control points and LED lamps.
According to the source, water meters and gas control points are in greatest demand.
Ganja Instrumentation Factory is one of the biggest in the field of machine engineering and is engaged in the development and production of measuring instruments, automatic and automated control systems.
The factory's activities are aimed at developing and raising the level of instrument-making in Azerbaijan.
