Production of water meters, gas pressure regulators to surge in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan’s Ganja Instrument-Making Plant plans to increase output of certain types of products over the next five to six months, a source at the plant told Trend.

According to the source, the company plans to increase the production of water meters and gas pressure regulators, due to the large demand for these types of products in the domestic market.

“These products are also delivered for export, and are in great demand abroad. The volume of the products manufactured by the plant in the first quarter of this year was up to 1 million, and in the next months it’s planned to increase this figure to 1.2 million,” the source noted.

Last year, the enterprise manufactured products worth 14 million manat ($8.2 million).

The production growth in 2019 was 12 percent, compared to that one in 2018.

The company produces water meters, gas pressure regulators, gas control points, LED lamps.

Currently, Ganja Instrument-Making Plant has temporarily suspended its operation due to the introduced quarantine regime amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Ganja Instrument-Making Plant is one of the biggest Azerbaijani enterprises in the field of instrument making, engaged in the development and production of measuring instruments, automated control systems.

The plant’s activity is aimed at developing and raising the level of instrument making in Azerbaijan and creating modern, high-quality water meters, gas pressure regulators and other measuring instruments that are in demand in the market within the country and abroad.

The plant is located on the territory covering more than five hectares. The production area is 6,000 square meters.
