Ukraine exported $558,000 worth of vodka to Azerbaijan over the first half of 2020, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
From January through June 2020, Ukraine exported $19 million worth of vodka to the international markets and imported – $7.3 million.
The committee noted that the volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Ukraine for the specifying period made up $443.3 million.
The export of Azerbaijani products to Ukraine in the first five months of 2020 amounted to $207.4 million, while a year-earlier - $132.4 million. Thus, Ukraine purchased products from Azerbaijan one and a half times more than in the same period of 2019. The share of Ukraine in the total export of Azerbaijan also increased by about one and a half percentage points, from 1.54 to 2.98 percent of the total export volume.
Imports of Ukrainian products to Azerbaijan increased by 0.9 percent, increasing from $179.2 million to $180.8 million on an annualized basis. The share of Ukraine in total imports of Azerbaijan also increased from 3.07 to 4.34 percent of the total import volume.
