The Azerbaijani Azexport portal received export orders worth $429.4 million from January through August 2020, which is 7.5 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).

The value of export orders received in Aug. 2020 amounted to $54.9 million, which is 4.2 percent more compared to Aug. 2019, said the CAERC. The volume is also 0.2 percent less than in July 2020.

Over 44 months of its activity (from January 2017 through Aug. 31, 2020), the Azexport portal executed the export orders for the supply on non-oil products from Azerbaijan in the amount of over $2.1 billion to 141 countries of the world.

The Azexport portal (www.azexport.az) was created by an order of the head of state on creating a single database of goods produced in Azerbaijan dated September 21, 2016.

The main goods exported during the current period are tobacco, chicken and eggs, hazelnuts, cottonseed oil, wine, pomegranate, onions, cosmetics, medical gauze, furniture, paint, confectionery, milk with fruit additives, mineral water and garlic.

The goal of the portal, which is managed by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, is to provide information on Azerbaijani-made products. It’s an effective resource for their selling in foreign and domestic markets.
