North Kazakhstan launches bioethanol manufacturing, following major overhaul

The bioethanol manufacturing was launched at the BioOperations plant in North Kazakhstan region following major overhaul, Trend reports citing the regional akimat (administrative center).

Thus, the final stage of the technological line for deep processing of wheat has been launched at the plant. The bio-plant is installed with modern equipment from France. The total investment into the final stage launch is 12 billion tenge ($28.5 million). To date, the company has already paid more than 500 million tenge ($1.1 million) in taxes.

Now, he said, along with starch, gluten, and gluten, the enterprise will produce bioethanol, which increases the octane number of the fuel. In his words, the demand for products is high.

An agreement of intent has already been concluded for the supply of bioethanol to the Pavlodar oil refinery. To begin with, it is planned to produce 20,000 tons of bioethanol per year with a gradual increase in volumes to 36,000 tons. This will completely cover the country's need for this product.

Several wheat processing projects are being implemented in North Kazakhstan region at the moment. The bioprocessing plant's annual processing capacity will be 300,000 tons. There is also a feed mill Kazmil with a capacity of 360,000 tons. The reconstruction of one more Bayrek feed mill is underway. The task for the coming years is to increase the share of wheat processing in the region to 90 percent.

Bio Operations LLP owns the property complex of the Plant for deep processing of wheat grain.

A subsidiary of BioOperations LLP in Taiynsha city in the North of Kazakhstan is an enterprise for the production of bioethanol, wheat gluten, starch, flour and animal feed.
