Georgian Evex Hospitals plans to sell stake in another clinic

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 6

Georgian Evex Hospitals plans to sell a 10 percent stake in Ingorokva Clinic (GNCo Ltd.) this year, Trend reports via the company’s financial report.

"Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the company's revenue has decreased by only 11 percent in 2020. In the second half of 2020, the company sold 40 percent of its 50 percent stake in GNCo Ltd that, as the management believes, will further improve the company's financial and operating performance. The remaining 10 percent is planned to be sold in 2021,” the report reads.

By the end of 2020, Evex Hospitals owned 17 hospitals with 2,596 beds.

The main financial indicators of the company are as follows:

Revenue from medical services - 5.25 billion lari ($1.6 billion);
Total profit - 95.66 million lari ($30.3 million);
EBITDA - 57.01 million lari ($18.1 million);
Annual loss - 31.50 million lari ($10 million).

At the moment, the JSC Evex Hospitals owns 10 percent in GNCo Ltd., 40 percent - in Tbilisi State Medical University and 50 percent- in Giorgi Ingorokva Clinic.
