BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 11. The non-oil trade turnover between Iran and Turkmenistan was around 924,000 tons worth over $324 million in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2023), Trend reports.
According to data from Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran’s non-oil trade with Turkmenistan for the reporting period rose by 4 percent in value and fell by 0.1 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
In the same period last Iranian year, the trade turnover stood at nearly 925,000 tons worth approximately $312 million.
The main traded goods were agricultural and food products, industrial products, transformers, water conditioners, petrochemical products, petroleum coke, cotton, cloth, etc.
During the 8th month alone (October 23 through November 21, 2023), the two countries traded about 136,000 tons of non-oil goods worth around $51.8 million.
Overall, Iran’s non-oil trade with the world for the first eight months of this year was $74.1 billion, involving about 115 million tons of goods. This was an increase of 7.2 percent in value and 22.6 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
